There's a pic going round the net as of today, it really confusing, don't really know how they got the answer, still confused.
But here's the answer, according to syracuse.com
To get started, simply break down what Albert and Bernard have been told. If Albert knows the month, then he was told Cheryl's birthday is in May, June, July or August. And if Bernard knows the day, he was told either 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 or 19.
Albert then says both of them don't know her birthday from just one piece of information, which means it's not May 19 or June 18. Those two numbers only appear once, while the others appear in multiple months. (In other words, Bernard would've known the answer right away if Cheryl said the 18th or 19th.)
And if Albert knows that Bernard doesn't know the answer, then that means he must have been told July or August for the month. If he was told May or June, it would've left open the possibility that Cheryl told Bernard the 18th or 19th.
So now the remaining possible dates are July 14, July 16, August 14, August 15 and August 17.
